The SPY Pipeline 11001 Jeep Spring is a full-circle steel spring electrode designed for holiday testing on coated pipe with a 20-inch outside diameter. “Jeep spring” is the commonly used field name for this style of electrode, which connects to a compatible holiday detector to locate pinholes, voids, and other discontinuities in protective pipeline coatings.
Its full-circle configuration wraps around the pipe and maintains contact with the coated surface, allowing the entire circumference to be inspected in a single pass. The spring connects to a compatible SPY electrode wand equipped with a spring adapter.
